Codieco, a 17 year old TB gelding was donated to the EPN and was a sanctuary resident for four years. Codieco was protected for the rest of his life from abuse, neglect and slaughter. Cody's picture was the inspiration for our national billboard campaign to educate Americans about horse slaughter.

Our own Codieco appeared in the Houston Chronicle ad placed by HoofPAC regarding TX HB 1324. The bill would legalize the slaughter of horses in TX for human consumption overseas. TX HB 1324 passed the TX House on 4/23/03. Shame on Texas!
